People were discussing account style unlocking which would have brought me back, but for some reason this feature is TBA. I think I will pass, DCU character creator is a real turnoff and the reason why I left to begin with. It was not bad a game, people over there seem to exaggerate due to hate. My thoughts were a mmo based upon DCU would crush CoH and CO, but it failed in many aeras in which they excelled. The devs including DBG is the achilles heel of this title, they are just piss poor sorry to say. The development is awful which is a shame. I have been following this game in and off for a little over a year. I am looking at the situation its' entirety, maybe that is why it looks worse to me. I follow the forums because I want to come back, many topics are deleted because they are either calling out devs personally, development, or flaming the business model. Not to say it would completely deter us, but the doubt will intensify. People like me who are considering a come back may give this a little side-eye. It is a difference between a handful of angry people flooding announcement threads, but everybody? That is why I am saying it is not a good look, it happens with nearly every announcement thread. That thread I linked did not appear to have any whiteknights, every topic has those. I agree, they do not appear to be any worse, but the fans flood the forums with constant displeasure, which is why I said it is not a good look. Some nice looks(the game let you collect gear styles so that your look is not dependent on your gear) but you can live without them. Not really worth to put much money in to unless you feel the need to be cutting edge. They are not worse than any other F2P mmo. It is still the exact same as at release, some extra DLC powers but apart from that. Get a hold of support and find out why you were suspended, I bet you can get back in the game in a few minutes. To the guy with the suspended account, it is likely that your account was hacked and someone was trying to sell it, which meant an automatic suspension if they were caught.

So yes, I would say there is little risk trying it out since it is free to play. Right now it is entertaining me very well, and I am having fun with it. I am having fun with it, but honestly I will give it up for good once a good CoH successor releases. But it is not like any other game out there, and some people love it and some people hate it. It is a different game, and fun in its own rite. Does it have a very long running and respected IP? Yes. I came back to it about 4 months ago on the Xbox One and am still playing it. I played about 5 months of alpha/beta, the first year and a half after release, and came back for about 5 months before my friends talked me into playing ESO.
